Oxford County is asking towns to collect private citizen primary home damage in our community. They are hoping that FEMA teams will review citizen damage at some point in the near future. If the county is able to present enough information on private citizen damage assessments the process will go as follows: meet with local officials regarding citizen damages in your community and visit homes with major damage in the most logical and expedient order, focusing on destroyed or major damage first. This would be to assess if we qualify for federal assistance for private citizens in Oxford County. This is a similar process to Public Assistance to provide federal assistance to your municipalities, but the damage thresholds are not as clear cut for private citizen assistance. These assessments and collection of this information does not guarantee assistance. We are encouraging all citizens with home owners insurance to make an insurance claim first to show that all other resources have been exhausted. **We need the following information:** 1. **Citizen Names** 2. **Citizen Primary Home Address where damage to home occurred** 3. **Citizen Contact Phone Number** 4. **Brief statement of damages at their home** 5. **Photographs of the damage incurred at homes are necessary for this assessment (please label with address or citizen name)** **Please Contact the Town of Bethel at 207-824-2669 or email the information to info@bethelmaine.org**

Although we couldn't all be together today for school, we were happy to be able to welcome students in for a few hours if they wanted to come visit. We were able to play in the gym, enjoy some coloring, watch a movie, and do some crafts. But the BEST part was that we smiled and laughed! We love our community. We love our school. We've been thinking of you all and can't wait to see you in 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣4️⃣!

Every year our students have the opportunity to participate in the summer "Read to Ride" challenge sponsored by the Maine DOE and the Maine Freemasons. Students who read at least 500 minutes during the summer qualify for a chance to win one of 48 bikes and helmets generously donated by the Maine Freemasons. Today, 3rd grader Akinna Larson and 5th grader Mikayla Russell, who were both selected as winners at the state level, were surprised at our Star of the Week Assembly. They were presented with certificates and gift cards to purchase a new bike. CONGRATS to these two amazing readers! We can't wait to hear about the bikes you pick out!

A BIG THANK YOU to Mr. Hanscom and his fellow Bethel EMT's who came to CPS on Monday, November 27th to teach the 4th grade students about CPR. All of the students in attendance learned and became certified in CPR (adult, child, and infant). Their day involved learning how to do CPR, how to use an AED, and how to relieve choking in an adult and infant. They also learned some basic first aid skills, as well. The students were BEYOND EXCITED for this opportunity- thank you so much!!
