April breakfast and lunch menus!

On Tuesday, March 26th, the CPS second graders traveled to A & B Sugarhouse in Newry. Bruce and Suzanne Pierce and Alan Fleet gave the students an indepth look at how maple syrup is made. The students experienced tapping trees and collecting sap, carrying and dumping the sap into holding tanks and checking out the evaporator where all the magic happens. Students were also treated to fresh maple syrup on ice cream and were able to bring a tasting jug home. It was a wonderful hands-on learning experience for all. Thank you to Bruce, Suzanne, and Alan and the many volunteers who helped make this day extra special

Oxford County Soil & Water Conservation District Plant and Seed Sale!

On Wednesday, March 20th, 4th graders visited Augusta to tour the Maine State House and the Blaine House. Students were excited to watch a legislative session occur. They loved the quiet and courteous discussions being conducted and the gaveling as voting was finalized. They also got to see the State House building and met local district representative (and former student of Mrs Conrad), Rachel Henderson.
